My name is Jacob Kehm. My date of birth is 8/23/76. I was born and raised in Redding, California. When I was out, I lived my life to the fullest, very fast and hard. Now that I find myself here, I’m in the process of trying to better myself, by doing college courses to get an Associates or Bachelors degree before I parole. I’m going to study Human Ecology and Biology, the essentials for healthy living and possibly a course in the history of western civilization.
I am doing 12 years for burglary. I’ve done almost 4 years already. My release date is August 2016. My ex wife told me she had been raped. I beat the guy up and now here I sit. I found out later that she had lied, She was never raped. She was having an affair and said that so I wouldn’t leave her. I guess I shouldn’t have believed in her so freely. There is more to the story and I have no problems answering any questions you may have.
I am really into music, and listen to just about anything, but I really like heavy metal, punk rock and country. I really like to read also, mostly fantasy, vampire and historical fiction books, anything on Northern European History and reading about my Irish/German heritage.
I’m looking to write to a good woman, someone real who’s not into games. I’d love to meet a positive person that’s interested in making a long lasting quality friendship, that will last beyond these walls. I’m certainly not looking for love, but am open to it if someone real comes along. Age and weight are not important. Big beautiful women are more than welcome.

I’m writing in hopes of making contact and opening my doors and arms to a new friendship. I have never written to a pen pal before, so it’s a new experience for me. I will be as honest as I possibly can so that you can understand me and hope that you will do the same.

I am 26 years old and on an extended vacation here at the enchanting Pelican Bay Inn. I'm currently doing time for a robbery and drug related crime, I've earned myself a 12-year sentence. I'm no angel, but at the same time, I've done a lot of growing up in prison. Everyone makes mistakes and some people learn the hard way. I'm trying to take responsibility for my actions. I was born on August 4, 1978 and I'm French Canadian and Native American. I've spent most of my life in Northern California – mostly the Bay area and Redding – but I have lived all over California. I am a 31-year old Mexican currently enrolled at the University of Pelican Bay. My passions are in the Arts and I enjoy drawing. I find it occupies my mind and is therapeutic (not that I need therapy).

I speak English as well as Spanish, and am currently learning the Italian language (Sto imparando l'Italiano). I'm giving it about 5 years then depending on how much I've picked up, I'd like to move on to maybe French. I love the sound of a foreign language.

I also dabble a little in law practice. I find that the law is very complicated and it stimulates the brain. It's almost like trying decipher Egyptian or Mayan hieroglyphics, well not quite, but you get the picture.

As for home, well I'm pretty far away from there, which is in Cathedral City in the Palm Springs area. I've been away since 1995, so I guess it's not home anymore. I've learned that in my situation home is where you are at.

As I sit here writing from the SHU peering down on to this paper, I can’t help but think how this ink stick creates a keyhole for others to peer through. Even if it doesn’t open up the whole of my world and the fullness of my life. It illuminates a private and narrow cone, visible only to the persons reading the ink I have spilled. Even then, you are only treated to a quick speck at a time.
My goal is to do the aforementioned, even so, that you’ll want to create your own keyhole for my eyes. I’ll write a few thoughts that will help you to understand me a bit.
When I was about 13 I wanted to be a writer. But everything I wrote, I thought was too weak. I figured I had no talent, not the way I wanted to have, so I didn’t put much into it. Little did I realize then that my only form of communication with the world would be through writing. I am now 31 and smile at the thought.
After 10 years of being in prison, and half of that spent in the SHU. I have not yet become a depressant. I don’t leave anyone nodding off over a conversation (as can happen all too easily with most individuals who allow the “time” to dull them). Instead you’ll find my moods to be elevated with good thoughts, because staying positive makes my world a better place. I’m like a good Tequila drink! I guess you could say that I have more of a vivid imagination than anything else, that helps in here. It’s a characteristic of mine to describe myself to you. A story springs to mind.
When I was younger I did something terrible to my father. I had a job at a printing shop, and one day I found a letter head from I.N.S. I wrote: Dear Mr. Lopez, We are happy to inform you that we have selected you to become a U.S citizen. Please call to make an appointment. Sincerely, so and so. I delivered it. My father was so happy when he read it. After, he tried the number a few times and I had to tell him that it was fake. He was Mexican mad! In those days kids got whoopings, good ones too with a belt. I know why I did it, I wanted him to get his citizenship. We do bad things for good reasons. I still laugh at that now, now he’s a proud citizen.
If you are wondering if I’m a good or a bad person, let me just say this. To be good is too be abundant – that is my tendency. Some one who aspires to do or have less is the definition of bad. I’m not bad. I give myself freely to all things.
I’m a reader and a thinker. I subscribe to Psychology Today, National Geographic, GQ, Esquire and of course the T.V guide. This should help you with figuring out what I’m into, besides women. I’m not afraid of my own thoughts, so I’m not lonely in here, but some mail wouldn’t hurt.
To cut this intro short and not take up too much of your time, I will end it with a joke:
A guy is sitting on his sofa when he hears a knock at the door. He opens the door an see’s a snail on the porch. He picks up the snail and throws it as far as he can. A few days later there’s a knock at the door. He open the door and see’s the same snail. The snail says “what was all that about?”

What’s up everybody? My name’s Louis and I’m in Pelican Bay State Prison, please don’t hold that against me, thank you!
I’m just writing to see if anyone out there would be interested in having a pen pal. It would be pretty cool if I could get a letter or two from somebody out there. Hi, I am writing this letter to introduce myself and to tell you a little bit about myself.
My name is Geronimo Che Lozano and I am currently serving time at the Security housing Unit at Pelican Bay. I am 35 years old, but I don’t look a day older than 25… provided you stand really far away when you do the lookin!! I was born on May 8, 1973. I am Mexican/American and speak both English and Spanish.
I was born in a very small city in Los Angeles County. There, my mom brought me up by herself in a good home where I was the oldest of three children. Although I knew who my dad was, I can’t say that I remember having any real relationship with him. He was in and out of jail for most of my childhood. When I was twelve years old he died of an overdose. I was never the same after that.
In my early teens I started acting up. I started hanging out with the wrong crowd, going to the wrong places and doing the wrong things. As time went by and I became more aware of the pain I was causing my mom, I started to realize what a rotten son I was being. And for a time, I tried to stay clear of things that would get me in trouble.
About the time I turn fourteen, I started getting into trouble again. By this time I had been exposed to drugs and gangs. Initially I wanted nothing to do with either of them but my life wasn’t above reproach by any means.
By the time I was fifteen I was getting high on marijuana regularly. Around the same time I started running the streets with a gang, and that became a fast trip down hill. My life eventually became a series of juvenile arrests and incarcerations.
In 1994 at the age of twenty, I was arrested and charged with a long list of crimes including homicide. A year later I was tried, convicted and sentenced to twenty five years in state prison. Faced with spending the next twenty five years in here, I became very bitter. I chose to roll with the punches and use my incarceration to my advantage. Since I’ve been in here I’ve earned my GED, I am currently enrolled at Coastline Community College and am taking several courses at this time. My goal is to earn an AA degree in Liberal Arts/General Studies.
My hobbies include collecting comic strips, playing chess, doing crossword puzzles, writing poetry and reading. Working out regularly is also an activity I like doing.
I stay in close touch with my family. My mom communicates with me regularly through the mail, but I don’t get visits from her as often as I’d like. I have an aunt that lives nearby and she visits me a lot.
If you would like to develop a friendship with me, please write me a tell me a little about yourself. I would like to correspond with people from all walks of life, and perhaps from other parts of the world. I will exchange letters from anyone who takes the time to write me.

I am a 31-year-old Chicano, currently serving a life sentence in solitary (known as SHU). I wasn't always a knucklehead. I grew up a pretty normal kid, with two wonderful sisters, in a loving two-parent house. I was born and raised in the City of Redondo Beach, a beach community in Los Angeles. I was a fairly average student in school. Growing up, I'd show glimmers of above-average intelligence here and there, but nothing spectacular. I'm probably putting too much salsa on the taco by even saying that. I played baseball since the age of five and love baseball to this day. I tended to be mischievous but no more than any other kid.

My parents were also raised in Redondo Beach. They grew up in the 60's and my father is a product of the achievements won in the Civil rights movement. He attended college, including UCLA, and received scholarships that were being given out at the time to young, bright chicanos. My father, as well as myself, are from Barrio Rodondo 13. Yes even beach communities have gangs. My dad was smart enough to avoid all the traps that would snare me years later. When my teenage years rolled around I started hanging out with the ‘Fellas'. My dad did everything in his power to prevent me from walking down this path. Ass whooping, restrictions, everything, but I was determined to live my life the way I wanted to. When I was 17 years old, I was arrested for a gang-related shooting and sent to the California Youth Authority. When I paroled in 1992, I was already stuck in my ignorant ways and continued to live the life of a gang banger. I was back in jail 2 months after I paroled. Since the time I was 17 years old, I think I've been on the streets a total of 16 months. On this current case, I've been in jail since December 1, 1997 – 7-1/2 years,.

I have a 13-year-old son who is my pride and joy. It's not easy keeping relations together from this place, but I try my best. His mother, who is a great, strong, brave, beautiful woman, has moved on with her life, which I totally understand.

I've omitted big chunks of my story, just to make it simpler to fit this into one ad. But feel free to ask me whatever you'd like. Also tell me about yourself, your interests, who you are. One of my passions is politics. I'm a die-hard 'Left Winger! I'm definitely ‘Anti George Bush”, so if you're a Bush supporter, I look forward to the debate. Sports are another of my interests. I also like to draw, and read, read, read.

As I begin this letter I hope you are surrounded by the love of our good Lord. It is also my hope that once you read these few words that I've put together, that you might take a moment to write.

My name is Richard Marquez and I am an identical twin. My twin brother's name is Nick Marquez #V-25975. He is my cellie here at Pelican Bay Prison, we're both 30 years old (Nov).

Growing up I made some very poor decisions. I came from a rough part of Southern California and like many young people, I was easily moved by the thought of fast money and was fooled into thinking my friends meant more to me than family. I know now I was wrong. I'm not saying friendships are wrong, on the contrary I value a true friendship.

My life has had its share of both good times and bad times. My little brother Sean was killed in 1992 and my parents passed away in June of 2003. Those moments have pulled at my heart, but I'm grateful for the time we had together. From their loss, I've also learned to enjoy today.

Nothing in life worth having comes without risk and it's with this understanding that, at the age of 39, I find myself wanting a compassionate woman in my life. I would like to be more open in this brief introduction, but time and experience have seized my faith in people so that that I would need to know you before I can be as open as I'd like to be.

My time is prison is spent reading anything and everything I can get my hands on. For me, reading is my way of escaping the walls of my confinement because the reality of the world I live in is anything but caring or understanding. I have not and will not give up my struggle to leave this place one day, but there is the possibility that I never will.

I am an African American, with brown sugar skin, 188 lbs., and dreadlocks. I am into football, antiques, and comic book collecting. Lately, I've been interested in politics, the language used in politics, and new laws. I would like to learn more about the internet. I have been learning Spanish on my own, and would like to have a woman write who is interested in teaching me. Actually, whoever writes doesn't matter because I am eager to learn! Don Miller

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Don Miller. I am currently locked up in Pelican Bay SHU program. I am doing an intermediate SHU term due to the label of gang association or prison gang membership. So based upon the prison administration I am confined to a cell for a total of 23 hours a day.
I have great hopes of opening up some sort of correspondence with someone that is willing to be a positive factor in my life. For as you are aware life in this type of confinement tends to disrupt any normal relationships. Due to the isolation factor and distance or location of this said prison. My ties with society have been separated to a great extent.. I do my best to remain positive and to also be as productive with my time as possible by educating myself and strengthening myself through a regiment of exercises. I am 34 years of age and I still have 10 years left on my sentence till I have parole. I have been incarcerated since 1999. So life has passed me by somewhat.
However I stay positive that there is someone out there that is able to understand that everyone makes mistakes. I have made changes and I intend to continue to do so.
