PENPALS K-M Tae Kim
Roman King Black Panther encaged Roman King C-83898 Charles Kingsley I am 26 years old and on an extended vacation here at the enchanting Pelican Bay Inn. I'm currently doing time for a robbery and drug related crime, I've earned myself a 12-year sentence. I'm no angel, but at the same time, I've done a lot of growing up in prison. Everyone makes mistakes and some people learn the hard way. I'm trying to take responsibility for my actions. I was born on August 4, 1978 and I'm French Canadian and Native American. I've spent most of my life in Northern California – mostly the Bay area and Redding – but I have lived all over California. I consider myself a born-again Christian. I enjoy positive and fruitful conversations. I spend a lot of my time reading and studying. I participate in a few self-help correspondence courses. I also love to draw. I'm one of the few that have a decent education and before I was locked up, I managed a pet store. My dad is a veterinarian and my mom owns a dog grooming shop. Bottom line is, I'm looking for new friends to write to. I hope to hear from someone soon – male or female. Who knows, maybe if you take a chance on writing to me, or someone
else in prison, you might be surprised that we all have a lot in common. Charles Kingsley #J-89559 Hector Komiyama I've been in the SHU for a bit over 12 years, and the only ones I keep in touch with are family. I'm a 33-year-old lifer standing 5' 9" with black hair and brown eyes. I'm an artist and lover of books. I like to read Robert Ludlum novels but my favorite book is “Rain of Gold” by Victor Villasenor. I also enjoy baseball, football and boxing. I like all sorts of music, and I love the song “Cross My Heart” by Billy Stewart. I'm a down-to-earth guy with goals, such as earning a college degree and helping youngsters learn that there is more to life than the hanging out on the streets and d oing drugs. I want to be a better man than I was yesterday! I value a true friendship as much as life itself! I'm good-hearted, sincere and know how to be myself - no pretending. I'm looking for a down-to-earth woman for a sincere and honest friendship. Hope to hear from you. Hector Komiyaya #H0176 Luis H. Leija I am a 31-year old Mexican currently enrolled at the University of Pelican Bay. My passions are in the Arts and I enjoy drawing. I find it occupies my mind and is therapeutic (not that I need therapy). I speak English as well as Spanish, and am currently learning the Italian language (Sto imparando l'Italiano). I'm giving it about 5 years then depending on how much I've picked up, I'd like to move on to maybe French. I love the sound of a foreign language. I also dabble a little in law practice. I find that the law is very complicated and it stimulates the brain. It's almost like trying decipher Egyptian or Mayan hieroglyphics, well not quite, but you get the picture. As for home, well I'm pretty far away from there, which is in Cathedral City in the Palm Springs area. I've been away since 1995, so I guess it's not home anymore. I've learned that in my situation home is where you are at. Luis H. Leija H-27147 David Leyva I'm Mexican-American, born and raised out of East Los Angeles. I'm
a novice writer and would like to be in touch with others in the world.
Or really, anyone in the creative world. I'm currently doing as much
I have an interest in creating a magazine, a local magazine that reflects the interest of a particular place. I'm currently taking a few courses from the distance-learning department of a community college in Southern California to help further my education in my interest. David Leyva E-89461 Robert Long How much insight and depth is required to ascertain that even the most treasured diamond was once nothing more than a lump of coal? Not much - it's just a fact! So what's that got to do with me? I'm not really sure since I'm not quite a lump of coal, and I'm not quite a precious stone. I'm working on it though! You probably don't want to hear about my accomplishments huh? Well my accomplishments may not be in the running for any Nobel Prize, but to my daughter I'm the undisputed Daddy Laureate! (She's probably biased in my favor.) Anyway & via pen, paper, and time, I intend to extend sincere friendship to anyone willing to break these spiritual walls of uncertainty to discover that support, grace, and compassion can indeed abide in all and are needed by all. Fostering is the key & I ask nothing that I wouldn't be willing to reciprocate. Let's talk. You'll probably like me & a lot!!! Robert Long K-71407 Mario C. Lopez I'm 29-year-old Mexican-Puerto Rican originally from the Hollywood area. I have been incarcerated for over 7 years now and have a lifetime to go. I'm going to be honest and say that I'm not looking for love. It's just that love can be unreachable when you're confined. I welcome all possible friendships and correspondence. I'm open to meeting women and men of all nationalities. All I ask is that you be at least 18 years of age. Basically, I'd like to be able to connect with others outside of this tomb. Mario C. Lopez #K64027 Paul Lopez I am a 37-year-old Latino, 5' 7", 180 lbs. I am somewhat shy to
say that I am physically and mentally strong. I am from San Jose California
and I'm just looking for a pen pal friend to correspond with to pass
this little time I have left. So maybe we can make our days more desirable
with smiles and maybe you can hopefully shine some of your rays on this
face. Paul Lopez #T-52879 Roberto Campa Lopez I'm a 56-year-old Mexican man, especially interested in writing and book publishing. I do not practice any religion formally. I believe, as Edgar Cayce did, in the One God for all religions. I've begun to practice Zen and Tai Chi for peace of mind. I am serving a life sentence. I'm 5'7", 155 lbs. with black hair, brown eyes and olive skin. I would preferably like to communicate with Mexicans or Native Americans, but people of any race, gender or age who wish to communicate will be most welcome. I'd have a lot in common with a person who knows a lot about writing or who has published a book, but all communications have value. I would love to write to someone who knows about writing books, structuring paragraphs, and publishing because I'm writing a short story about a 16-year-old Chicano growing up in San Jose, CA in 1965. I could use some help with it. Tony Lopez I'm 38 years old, looking for adventurous, open-minded, free-spirited women for friendship and possibly more. Tony Lopez #E06271 Jonothan Lott Greetings. I'm a 28-year-old African-American male, light skinned with a bald head. I'm seeking a pen pal because I'm without assistance from anyone in the outside world. I'm also seeking legal aid. I'd be grateful for anyone's help and attention. Jonothan Lott #J-61147 Leroy Lowery Imprisoned for life at age 16, now I'm 28 and I'm reaching out to society
for pen pals, friends and yes, even to explore the possibilities of
love. I'm open minded. Look where I reside, so who am I to judge? I
do take this existence seriously, but I do have a good sense of humor.
I enjoy writing, reading world events, history, art, sports, and I even
do a little drawing from time to time. I'm a straight white man, 5'
11", 165 lbs., with brown eyes and bald by choice, who is looking
for a woman who loves to laugh and is a free spirit, someone who is
not easily offended nor scared to explore the unknown. All are welcome
to write, Leroy Lowery #J-24892 Jose Loza
Jose Loza #PO63645 Geronimo C. Lozano My name is Geronimo and I am a 31 year old Mexican from Los Angeles. To be honest, prior to my incarceration, I was living the wrong way, keeping the wrong company, making the wrong choices, and doing the wrong things. During this period of my life I was associating with gangsters in California, and soon I became one of them. This was one of the worst decisions of my life because with each passing day I became more deeply involved with crime. At the age of 21, my life of crime came to a halt. On July 14th,1994, I was arrested and charged with several crimes,
was found guilty of two of them, and sentenced to a lengthy term. All
I had left was a wrecked life. But, while I've been incarcerated, I
have been restoring my life the best I can. I have earned my G.E.D.
and I plan to further my education by participating in a community college
correspondence course next year. My goal is to complete the general
My favorite hobbies are reading, playing chess, and exercising. Basically, I consider myself to be kind, understanding, intelligent, full of personality, straightforward, down to earth, adventurous, strong, gentle, ambitious, funny, and from what I've been told, a one in a million guy. But, if you would like to develop a friendship through the mail with me in order to find out for yourself, please do not hesitate to write. I want you to know that I am open to corresponding with people from all walks of life. I only hope that you are as well. Geronimo C. Lozano #J-64586 Robert Luca I am always looking for ways to better myself as a person. I enjoy drawing, reading and learning new things. It would be nice to meet someone new, share thoughts and trade jokes. I am down to earth and not bashful. Life is too brief to not experience everything you can. To make a very long story short, I was convicted on a gang-related crime in Los Angeles when I was 16, and have been in Pelican Bay since 1994. I am now 32 years old. I'm trying to get a website started that will attract young people - kids from my culture - so they can read my story and not make the same mistakes I have in my life. I would love to hear from you. Wishing you the best Robert Luca #H-12604 Edmond Luera I'm interested in meeting someone new and becoming friends. I'm a 30-year-old Mexican-Native American., 5' 10", 180 lbs. , with brown eyes and hair. I have a great capacity for conversation along with a good sense of humor. Edmond Luera #H67614 Ralph Lugo I would really like to meet someone from another environment or culture or anyone who would like to share some simple conversation. I'm a 45-year-old, single Mexican. I'm 5'7”, 169 lbs, with a medium build, brown hair, brown eyes and medium complexion. I was born in Waco, Texas, but grew up in San Jose, CA. I'm honest, open-minded, and love all types of people who read the Word of God. I enjoy outdoor sports - fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, baseball and walks. I'm a non-smoker and work out daily to stay in shape. I'm not a picky person, just a guy who would like some company to be able to share thoughts and feelings. Ralph Lugo #K-72624 Frankie Lujan I am a 31-year-old Chicano, currently serving a life sentence in solitary (known as SHU). I wasn't always a knucklehead. I grew up a pretty normal kid, with two wonderful sisters, in a loving two-parent house. I was born and raised in the City of Redondo Beach, a beach community in Los Angeles. I was a fairly average student in school. Growing up, I'd show glimmers of above-average intelligence here and there, but nothing spectacular. I'm probably putting too much salsa on the taco by even saying that. I played baseball since the age of five and love baseball to this day. I tended to be mischievous but no more than any other kid. My parents were also raised in Redondo Beach. They grew up in the 60's and my father is a product of the achievements won in the Civil rights movement. He attended college, including UCLA, and received scholarships that were being given out at the time to young, bright chicanos. My father, as well as myself, are from Barrio Rodondo 13. Yes even beach communities have gangs. My dad was smart enough to avoid all the traps that would snare me years later. When my teenage years rolled around I started hanging out with the ‘Fellas'. My dad did everything in his power to prevent me from walking down this path. Ass whooping, restrictions, everything, but I was determined to live my life the way I wanted to. When I was 17 years old, I was arrested for a gang-related shooting and sent to the California Youth Authority. When I paroled in 1992, I was already stuck in my ignorant ways and continued to live the life of a gang banger. I was back in jail 2 months after I paroled. Since the time I was 17 years old, I think I've been on the streets a total of 16 months. On this current case, I've been in jail since December 1, 1997 – 7-1/2 years,. I have a 13-year-old son who is my pride and joy. It's not easy keeping relations together from this place, but I try my best. His mother, who is a great, strong, brave, beautiful woman, has moved on with her life, which I totally understand. I've omitted big chunks of my story, just to make it simpler to fit
this into one ad. But feel free to ask me whatever you'd like. Also
tell me about yourself, your interests, who you are. One of my passions
is politics. I'm a die-hard 'Left Winger! I'm definitely ‘Anti
George Bush”, so if you're a Bush supporter, I look forward to
the debate. Sports are another of my interests. I also like to draw,
and read, read, read. Frankie Lujan T20450 Arturo Luna I'm in my early 40's and have a parole date of late 2007. I'm a Mexican inmate with brown eyes and hair, and I'm affectionate, understanding, open minded, humorous, and easy to get along with. I'm seeking a long term friendship - age or race is unimportant, but being a Christian is a plus. Take a chance on me. Arturo Luna #P-15021 Rick Madsen I am a Christian and my interests include Civil/Criminal Law (I am studying/learning), the Internet (Web Pages, Sites, how it all works - I would like to learn to set one up); and art (drawing in ink and pen). I would be very interested and grateful to correspond with like-minded individuals to further my knowledge in any of these interests, or simply to correspond with on a friendly basis. Rick Madsen E-10400 Jake Main I am 26 years old from Calaveras County in northern California. I'm white and of Scottish and Irish decent, and of course I take an interest in my heritage. I am 5' 7", weigh 180 lbs., and have green eyes. I enjoy exercising and staying healthy, both physically and mentally. I am pretty much covered in tattoos and I am a tattoo artist, so I like to draw. I like to read anything and everything. I am fascinated by the world and the never ending knowledge that is contained in it. I have been incarcerated since April of 1995. I was 16 years old when I stepped into doing time. I have spent a good portion of my life caged up, and I am looking forward to my release in 16 months. I would like to correspond with females just to help pass the time. Jake Main #K-83227 Carlos Maldonado I'm 30 years old, incarcerated now but expecting parole in 3 years. I'm from Central California and enjoy writing, meeting new people, and making new friends. I have a nice personality and a good sense of humor. I'm a life-long student of history and religion. I especially enjoy studying European history and religious history. I think education, exercise, and self-enrichment are important to a fulfilling life. I'm interested in sharing friendly conversation and good humor with anyone who has the time and desire to make a new friend. I'll welcome and respond to everyone who writes and hope to make this a very positive experience for both of us. I'm also willing to exchange photos. Carlos Maldonado #J-87925 Edgar Robert Marenco Hello, I need you, yes you! I'm looking for friends who will want to listen to my philosophy and psychology. I have been locked in a corner of my universe for a quarter of a century in California and all I have done is educate myself in many different subjects and develop a lust for life, full of Empathy, Respect and Integrity based on the core of my essence: truthfulness and honesty. I enjoy studying, leisure reading and music. I have a great love for things that fly, from a small ladybug to the great commercial jet planes, and I also love children and would enjoy being a motivational speaker to all the little people some day. I am a man - neither more nor less – and I have great tales to spin and stories to share on all that I have in my heart and through my Spirit. I am very down to the Mother Earth and I will wait for you to bless me with your friendship. Edgar Robert Marenco C43611 Richard Marquez Jr. As I begin this letter I hope you are surrounded by the love of our good Lord. It is also my hope that once you read these few words that I've put together, that you might take a moment to write. My name is Richard Marquez and I am an identical twin. My twin brother's name is Nick Marquez #V-25975. He is my cellie here at Pelican Bay Prison, we're both 30 years old (Nov). Growing up I made some very poor decisions. I came from a rough part of Southern California and like many young people, I was easily moved by the thought of fast money and was fooled into thinking my friends meant more to me than family. I know now I was wrong. I'm not saying friendships are wrong, on the contrary I value a true friendship. My life has had its share of both good times and bad times. My little brother Sean was killed in 1992 and my parents passed away in June of 2003. Those moments have pulled at my heart, but I'm grateful for the time we had together. From their loss, I've also learned to enjoy today. Dr. M. L. King Jr. said, the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands on moments of comfort and convenience but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. So I let those words remind me to make the best of this situation. May God bless you. Richard Marquez Jr. H-94929 Angel Martinez Hello, my first name is Johnny, but everyone knows me as ‘Angel', which is my middle name. Johnny and Angel. I'm one and the same. My last name is Martinez, which is of Mexican descent. I was born in southern California where much of my life was spent. My childhood was wonderful in a house with father, mother, two older sisters and a younger brother. Somewhere along the line, I went down the wrong road and I've been incarcerated since I was seventeen years old. Yet I've evolved tremendously these past years, and am seeking a friend to share my joys, triumphs, and yes even my tears. I enjoy listening, exchanging experiences, ideas, and alternative points of view. I'd like to know your take on life and favorite things to do. So go on and go out on a limb, grab yourself a pen, tell me about yourself and how you've been. Life can be bitter, but also so very sweet. If you thing along these lines, your definitely the type of person I'm hoping to meet. My intro is corny, I tried to make it rhyme like a poem. Hopefully I caught your eye as you surf the net at Home. Angel Martinez H-93376 Edwin Martinez I'm 27 years old and, although living in solitary in Pelican Bay's SHU, I have not let that stop me from being an optimistic, outgoing, energetic man. I always manage to smile and bring laughter to my own day as well as to others'. I have a passion for drawing and would like to paint as well – one day soon I hope. Writing poetry and reading are things I also very much enjoy. There's more to me than that, of course. Therefore I extend an invitation to any person willing to correspond with an open mind – so that we can learn from one another and become friends. Edwin Martinez U-77958 Jose Luis Martinez Divorced, single Mexican male, age 33, currently housed in the SHU. I am serving a life sentence for a non-violent crime under California s well know Three Strikes law. I am 5'9", 170 lbs. with light brown eyes, black hair, and a fair complexion. I am very open minded, humorous, and very optimistic towards life despite my current situation. I was born in Chicago, the eldest of eight children, but was raised in Southern California from the age of five. I love to read, my favourite authors are Tom Clancy and Anne Rice. I am a student and practitioner of yoga and Buddhism. I love to meditate and exercise the mind, body, and soul. I also love national and international politics - anti-Bush! I listen to rancheras and corridas, oldies, all 80's music, and old school rap. I wish to meet new people with the same or similar interests. Everyone is welcome to write and everyone will be given a prompt reply. Ethnicity, religious beliefs, and social status are not important. Love for life and optimism is a must. Jose Luis Martinez #E-51644 David Matus Hi! I'm a 23-year-old light-skinned man with light-brown eyes and black hair, incarcerated fo the past 8 years. I entered the prison system at 17 and I've been in the SHU for a year now. I'm originally from the Bay Area and I'm an easy-going, open-minded artist who draws beautifully. I like to write poetry and listen to a variety of music. I also enjoy the outdoors and nature. I'm athletic and in great shape standing 5' 11" and weighing 160 lbs. I am a strong willed, determined and adventurous young man seeking a mature woman for fun writing, amusing conversation and friendly companionship. A woman who has a desire to talk, write, share thoughts and has a lovely smile! So, ladies, give me a chance to be your pen-pal friend. David Matus #P48461 Russell McAllister I am 23 years old and am doing a large sum of time. As I do my time, I serve it in solitary confinement and have no friends or family who write to me. I really don't know what to say, so I'm going to be honest and hope that the following will be of interest to you. I want you to know that I am an open-minded person who welcomes anyone to write. I am seeking someone who I can share my thoughts and ideas with. I am looking to make friends to correspond with. Though a person who has a lot to say, I am also a good listener and would like to hear what you have to say. This is not just about me. I am love to learn new things. I am interested in art, music and many
other educational things and I love to draw and paint. I am a very open-minded
person who has lived and spent time in Southern California and the Southern
United States. I like all sorts of music, from classical to country
to heavy metal. I love animals too. I like a lot of things about the
European, Asian and Latino cultures. So if any of this is of interest
to you, please do write. I will write back anyone who takes the time
to write me. Don't think twice, just pick up that pen! Russell McAllister #T06476 Jason McCliman Hi. I'm a 27-year-old man Mexican/German mix: 5'6 tall, 160 pounds, brown hair and green eyes. I've been in Pelican Bay since September, 2001 and expect to go home in August, 2007. While I'm here I enjoy reading, writing and basketball. But the time would sure pass easier if I had a friend to correspond with. I hope you'll take a chance. Jason McCliman #J-67424 Robert McDaniels Hi. I'm a 30-year-old African-American man with short wavy hair and brown eyes. I have no friends or correspondents and no one visits me. I'd sure like to meet some new people and hopefully, through writing, create some new friendships. That's what matters to me most, although if anyone knows of a lawyer who could assist me with a writ, that would be much appreciated. Robert McDanniels K-80690 G. McKenzie I'm a young man who's come to understand a lot from my past years of experience but I can never come to terms with the fact that such a powerful modern country has a judicial system that doesn't't treat poor people fairly. In a California Department of Corrections facility there is no such thing as rehabilitation beyond self-reliance and whatever structure a person provides for himself. I'd enjoy receiving correspondence from someone outside these walls – a voice that isn't't just an echo of my own. G. McKenzie K-78662 Noah Medina Hello. My name is Noah and I'm a 29-year-old, fun-loving guy with a great personality and a good sense of humor a poet and an artist too. I'm looking for life-long friendships. There's no one in my life family or friends. In 3 years I'm gong to parole and, before I do, I'd love to meet some new people no particular requirements. It's been so long since I've had a pen pal or any mail whatsoever. All letters will be happily answered. Noah Medina #J-25737 Robin “Smokey” Melchor To all the lovely ladies across the globe, this is it, there's no need to look anymore! I'm a 21-year-young Latino pup, looking for a good time through pen and paper. I'm color blind when it comes to females, and of course, I don't trip if you're 18 or 50 years old. It's all good, all letters are welcome. If you send a picture, that would be great too. I have dark brown eyes and a shiny bald head. I'm not a muscle machine, but I keep myself in good health. I read, write, work out, and make rap lyrics. I'm from Guatemala, so for sure I speak Spanish. So para todas las muchachas que gusten conocer a su papi chulo, escribanme y les correspondere lo mas pronto posible. I reside in East Los Angeles, CA. For the time being, they've got me doing some hard time, but as time goes by, all my hopes are up and I'll be out again. So to all the females that wish to write, here's my hook up. Robin Melchor #T-73040 Raymond Mendoza Attention! My name is Raymond, I'm a 35 year old Hispanic of Mexican
descent seeking pen pals from all walks of life. I bear no prejudices.
I'm looking for someone I can establish an honest, sincere friendship
Raymond Mendoza #E-07922 Juan A. Merced, Jr. Nothing in life worth having comes without risk and it's with this understanding that, at the age of 39, I find myself wanting a compassionate woman in my life. I would like to be more open in this brief introduction, but time and experience have seized my faith in people so that that I would need to know you before I can be as open as I'd like to be. My time is prison is spent reading anything and everything I can get my hands on. For me, reading is my way of escaping the walls of my confinement because the reality of the world I live in is anything but caring or understanding. I have not and will not give up my struggle to leave this place one day, but there is the possibility that I never will. I would like to meet a woman who is able to be herself and who isn't afraid to take a chance on a man whose heart has been hardened by a harsh life and whose soul has been lost in this state of unending isolation. Permit me to enter your life and I will give you friendship filled with purpose and loyalty. I will hang on your every word as if doing so would save my life and I will make every effort to put your wants and needs before my own. Most importantly, I will appreciate you, for there is nothing better under the sun than the spirit of a woman. Juan A. Merced, Jr. D48678 Anthony Miller I am an African American, with brown sugar skin, 188 lbs., and dreadlocks.
I am into football, antiques, and comic book collecting. Lately, I've
been interested in politics, the language used in politics, and new
laws. I would like to learn more about the internet. I have been learning
Spanish on my own, and would like to have a woman write who is interested
in teaching me. Actually, whoever writes doesn't matter because I am
eager to learn! Also, I would like to correspond with a strong willed,
revolutionary type female who doesn't mind standing up for what she
believes in. Someone who would understand the straight forward nature
of my poetry. Most importantly, I believe in God, and all Anthony Miller #D-80433 Donald Miller I'm a prisoner in solitary confinement – known as SHU (Security Housing Unity), hoping to correspond with a .woman who wants to share her life in some way. Joshua Mitchell T-54208 Albert Molina I’m 28 years old and have been incarcerated since the age of
18. I am currently here in solitary confinement for a gang validation
that was completely fabricated. I am going to be here for the next
six years or possibly until my realse date. I was born and raised
in Santa Paula, about half an hour from the Magic Mountain theme park.
I consider myself to be a pretty laid-back individual. I like to read
about everything really, but my favorite subjects are different cultures,
politics, and human nature. I think it’s so interesting to learn
about how different people live and what moves them. I have made it
a point in my life to acquire as much knowledge as possible in order
to be a well-rounded person. I admire articulation and individuals
who have a passion for words, as I do. I’m very open minded;
I love to laugh and enjoy life as much as possible. I am a very outgoing
and spontaneous person you could say (smile). Well, to sum it up:
I’m pretty much human! I would surely love to hear from you,
and wish you all grace and dignity. Albert Molina K44885 Augie O. Molinar I am 43, 5'9”, with hazel eyes, and black hair, and I sport

required for each course. If anyone is able to help me or is interested

No head games, please. I have been in prison for 16 years. I wish to find in your heart a wonderful interest to be my special friend. Morris C-06409 Asad Muhammad I'm a 45-year-old African American married to the same woman from 1982 to present. I have four sons, one in elementary school, one in middle school, one in high school and my eldest in his third year of college. I graduated from high school in 1977. After graduation, I entered the U.S. Army as a 36 Kilo, i.e. radio and Switchboard Operator. I spent one year overseas in South Korea (Feb 1978 until February 1979). After three years of service, I was to return to civilian life with an honorable discharge. I discharged in 1980. Since my release from the military in 1980, I've spent my time working jobs 8 to 10 hours a day, five sometimes six days a week, trying to provide for my family up until the very day I was arrested (summer of 1999) and lost my freedom. This is my first time in prison and I'm dealing with it the best I can. I enjoy reading, which is how I spend at least 12 hours a day, seven days a week. My preferred reading materials are non-fiction books, biographies and magazines such as The New Yorker, Smithsonian, Newsweek and Time magazine, when I can acquire them. I'm willing to correspond with anyone regardless of ethnicity or religious background. I will respond to all letters within a week of my receiving them. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Asad Muhammad T-29712 John Murillo I am 34 years old and of Mexican ancestry. My hobbies include reading (mainly non-fiction), listening to all kinds of music and playing chess. I am from the small California town of Watsonville, an hour south of San José. I have been incarcerated for approx. 4 years with 8 to go, so I'm striving to find a college that will grant me some correspondence courses so I can make good use of this time. I would love to major in psychology or philosophy. I've been locked up for four years on a 14-year sentence for possession and sales. I consider myself lucky since I was facing 27 to life under the 3 strikes law. Fortunately, the judge had a heart. I am really interested in meeting people from all walks of life who are willing to exchange thoughts and pleasantries, and who aren't afraid to express themselves of share their adventures. I invite all those who are interested in building a friendship with someone who is very open-minded and easy going to write to me. John Murillo #K16670
William Murphy I hope this message finds you with a smile and well. First off, let
me thank you for taking the time to read my ad. It really means a
lot to me and shows how open-minded you are or, at the least, curious
about guys such as myself confined here in solitary indefinitely. William Murphy #H-76407
