It's a depressing life and real easy to give up hope. Often, I do. I am writing in hopes of establishing a pen-pal relationship and enjoying someone's conversation outside of this mad house I live in. I have been in prison for 12 years, 8 of them in solitary confinement. I love to make people laugh and at the same time laugh right along with them. I am very straightforward and don't play mean jokes on others. I appreciate life and the good experiences that come along. On another note, I spend some of my time with my hobby, which is drawing. Of course, I study and do research on legal matters. I am 32 years old and keep in shape through daily exercise. My name is Jimmy, AKA ‘”Big Sneeky”. I am half Mexican and half white, 29 years old, born October 21, 1975, and from Los Angeles, California. I have been in prison since May 1997, ‘ACCUSED' of shooting two guys. A gang-related attempted murder. I pled ‘self defense' no contest to assault with a firearm and shooting at an occupied motor vehicle. I was sentenced to thirteen years in prison. My release date is July 4, 2009. I'm a native of San Francisco's Mission District and a very easy going, down-to-earth person. I like sports, I am a diehard San Francisco 49ers and Giants Fan. I like basketball too. I am an Orlando Magic Fan. I enjoy reading and writing. I like to read a variety of books including

At the age of 30 it has become apparent to me that one cannot walk a fine line for any significant time without having a stumble or two. I would be easy to blame my incarceration on a dysfunctional family, but the truth is that I come from a wonderful home. My parents worked hard to provide for me, they instilled values not only with words but by example. Maybe the blame should fall on the notorious city of Los Angeles where I was born and raised? Or, the vicious gangs that it's
known for? I wish that it was that easy, but L.A. has been good to the Flores family. My incarceration is not due to not having goals. I wanted to play professional baseball or football, and many thought I had i .
I wanted to attend college, get married, have kids and be able to provide for them. It's proof that one should be careful of what one wishes for! I played semi-pro baseball until I got hurt. I had to come to prison to take college courses. I got married to a beautiful woman at the age of 20, and had 3 wonderful kids, who are my reason for living. It took several break - ups to realize that she was not for me. So, who can I blame for being placed in prison with a 15 year sentence (9 of
which I have done)? The answer is me. I am responsible for everything that happens to me and that is why I am trying to use my incarceration to better myself. Education is my priority, along with creating an
opportunities for myself so that when I return to the real world I can be significant in society and be a representative of the Flores family that my kids can be proud of. I understand that in my quest I need

I am a 34-year-old African American from San Diego. My present life feels a million light years removed from the life I once had, but I still feel compelled to share myself with hopes of finding a true friend. I am a chef by trade. I love to cook all kinds of food but the
grill is my favorite. I have a saying, give me a grill, and I'll give you a great meal!

Growing up in San Diego, I played a lot of sports -
football, baseball, basketball and boxing. I was raised by my great grandparents in a house full of uncles and cousins. I have a rather large family but right now my two sisters are my only link to the outside world. I thought I built a bridge when I was free by having a
good job and being the one my family could always rely on. But not a lot of family have crossed that bridge to reach out to me. I know I must accept my situation and learn to bear its short comings, but I am still hopeful. Hopeful to find a friend to talk to. My interests include
chess, writing, exercising and reading. I'm in search of a good person, male or female, to become a friend. I hold no prejudices whatsoever and I look forward to corresponding with sincere, reliable human beings.
